Wisdom Treasury Publication House

Buddhist Wisdom in the West

For more than 30 years many Lamas have given initiations, teachings and advice to many students in the west. We have the luck to experience this.

It seems that now the pure dharma is truly rooted in the west. The permanent presence of many authentic masters allows the transmission of the Buddha’s authentic and vivid teachings.
Although a large number of people have already made a strong contact with the Buddhist teachings, there still remains a lot more to discover.
Of the very large number of texts, jewels of Buddhist wisdom, many are still inaccessible in western languages.
Moreover, a growing number of people are finding themselves confronting a confusing melting-pot of ideas and systems of thinking which is more common than ever.
Given this situation and deeming that favourable conditions had come together, Dzogchen Ranyak Dza Patrul Rinpoche generated the wish to create a publishing house with the objective of publishing:
- Texts of the Longchen Nyingthig lineage of which Rinpoche is one of the principal holders, and
- a vast encyclopaedia of universal wisdom, in which the wisdom of different religious traditions and philosophies will be presented in texts and through a range of disciplines.

These texts will at first be published in the form of traditional books but also later in other media such as CD-ROM, DVD etc so as to reach as many people as possible.

The Publishing House’s Projects
The Publishing House’s first objective is to make available a large number of texts from the Longchen Nyingthig tradition. There will be a large number of texts and teachings by Dzogchen Ranyak Dza Patrul Rinpoche but also texts and teachings by Lamas of the same lineage.
The second objective is the publication of texts of non-Buddhist wisdom. This project is expected to make accessible to everyone who is inspired by wisdom, a vast source of knowledge where they could get resources to explore, contemplate and meditate.
By allying himself with the Rime movement, Rinpoche is naturally able to prompt an exchange between different philosophical and religious traditions.
Wisdom in the West
So as to preserve the authenticity of the content of these books, each one will be prepared through exchange (discussions, interviews…) with the authors and erudite experts in this field.
In this way, Rinpoche hopes that a vivid, deep and true wisdom will take root in each being, with good motivation and wishes and following with respect the tradition to which its associated.
